  • Fixing Set for Insulated Facade M6

    Code: INK-330-M6
  • M6 Fixing Set for Insulated Facade is designed for mounting various elements through the facade insulation layer into the load-bearing wall. The set includes a 330 mm long A2 stainless steel M6 threaded rod.

The standard set is suitable for facades with insulation thicknesses up to 250 mm. For thinner insulation, the threaded rod can be shortened, while for insulation thicker than 250 mm, we can supply a longer M6 threaded rod on request.

    Technical Information:

    • Thread: M6
    • Threaded rod length: 330 mm
    • Threaded rod material: A2 stainless steel
    • Maximum insulation thickness: up to 250 mm
    • Wall plug: multi-purpose SHARK® TWIST 10×56
    • Nut: M6, A2 stainless steel
    • Cap nut: M6, A2 stainless steel
    • Set includes: 1 pc. M6 × 330 mm threaded rod, 1 pc. SHARK® TWIST 10×56 wall plug, 1 pc. M6 nut, 1 pc. M6 cap nut

    Applications:

    • Mounting elements through facade insulation
    • Fixing into the load-bearing wall
    • Installation of flag holders
    • Mounting other elements to insulated facades
    • Insulated facades with insulation thicknesses up to 250 mm

    Key Features:

    • 330 mm long M6 threaded rod
    • A2 stainless steel threaded rod and nuts
    • SHARK® TWIST 10×56 multi-purpose wall plug
    • Suitable for insulation thicknesses up to 250 mm
    • The threaded rod can be shortened for thinner insulation
    • A longer M6 threaded rod can be supplied for thicker insulation
    • The standard M6 nut provides a solid support for the mounted element and helps prevent compression of the facade finish
    • Suitable for outdoor use

    Installation:

Drill through the facade insulation layer into the load-bearing wall and insert the SHARK® TWIST 10×56 wall plug. Screw the standard M6 nut and M6 cap nut onto the threaded rod. Turn the cap nut to screw the threaded rod into the wall plug to the required depth.

Once the threaded rod is installed, remove the M6 cap nut and adjust the standard M6 nut so that it protrudes approximately 1 mm beyond the facade surface. Leave approximately 5 mm between the standard M6 nut and the cap nut for the element being mounted. Position the element on the threaded rod and secure it by tightening the M6 cap nut. Frequently Asked Questions:

What insulation thickness is this fixing set suitable for?
The standard set with a 330 mm threaded rod is suitable for facade insulation thicknesses up to 250 mm.

What should I do if the insulation layer is thinner?
The M6 threaded rod can be shortened to the length required for the installation.

Can the fixing set be used with insulation thicker than 250 mm?
Yes. On request, we can supply the fixing set with a longer M6 threaded rod for thicker insulation layers.

Why should the standard M6 nut protrude from the facade?
The standard M6 nut should protrude approximately 1 mm beyond the facade surface so that the mounted element rests against the nut and does not compress the facade finish when tightened.

What is the approximately 5 mm gap for?
The approximately 5 mm gap between the standard M6 nut and the cap nut provides space for the element being mounted, for example, the mounting plate of a flag holder.

Is the fixing set suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The M6 threaded rod and both nuts are made of A2 stainless steel and are suitable for outdoor use.
