Black Side Mounted Railings (RAL 9005)

Side Mounted Railings are stainless steel railing systems with posts installed to the side of a balcony, terrace, staircase or other supporting structure. The posts and handrail are powder-coated in black RAL 9005, while the horizontal Ø12 mm infill is left in its natural stainless steel finish.

Side mounting is particularly practical when it is important to preserve as much usable balcony or terrace space as possible. “Inoxas” manufactures these railing systems itself, so in addition to standard railing sets, we can manufacture systems according to individual dimensions and specific project requirements.

1500, 3000 and 6000 mm Railing Sets

Choose from railing sets in standard lengths of 1500 mm, 3000 mm or 6000 mm. This makes it possible to select a suitable solution for a shorter balcony or staircase section as well as for a longer terrace or balcony installation.

For longer installations, handrails can be joined using dedicated connecting elements. If the standard lengths are not suitable, we can manufacture the railing system according to individual dimensions.

RAL 9005 Powder-Coated Stainless Steel Construction

The railing posts and handrail are manufactured from stainless steel and powder-coated in black RAL 9005. This finish gives the system a modern appearance and makes it easy to coordinate with contemporary façades, windows, doors and other black architectural elements.

The horizontal Ø12 mm stainless steel infill tubes and their adjustable holders are intentionally left unpainted. This is a technical solution required for convenient installation and proper operation of the adjustable components.

Why Are the Ø12 mm Infill Tubes and Holders Left Unpainted?

During installation, the Ø12 mm infill tubes are passed through the holders mounted on the railing posts. If the tubes were powder-coated, the paint layer could be scratched or otherwise damaged while passing them through the holders.

The holders are also left in their natural stainless steel finish because they provide rotation and angle adjustment and include locking screws. The unpainted surface allows the mechanism to operate freely, makes it possible to adjust the direction of the tubes and ensures reliable locking. This allows the system to be adapted to both horizontal installations and staircases.

Advantages of Side Mounted Railings

Side mounting helps preserve the full upper surface of a balcony or terrace because the railing posts are not installed on top of it. This is particularly useful in narrower spaces or projects where maximising usable floor area is important.

Side mounting also gives the railing structure a visually lighter appearance and allows the railing line to be positioned closer to the outer edge of the supporting structure.

Convenient Railing Assembly and Installation

The railing systems are supplied as separate, mutually compatible components, making them convenient to transport and assemble directly at the installation site. Adjustable Ø12 mm tube holders allow the system to be adapted to horizontal balcony and terrace sections as well as staircases.

The handrail is installed by drilling and securing it with stainless steel rivets. The required drill bit and rivets are included with the railing set, so there is no need to purchase them separately.
